What this sitting is
An Alerting Hygiene Sitting is a narrower piece of work than the health review. We sit with the current alert list — the one that actually pages — and walk it with the operators who still wake up. Each condition is marked as customer-facing, internal-only, noisy, or silent. The output is an annotated list and a short note on what should leave the night phone first.
Who it is for
Teams that already know the pager is loud, and can name the application, but have not had time to go through the list in one room. It is a poor fit if nobody can show the live alerts; in that case start with the Application Health Review.
Included and excluded
Included: two days, the annotated list, and a closing conversation. Excluded: we do not click through your console to delete alerts for you, and we do not promise a quieter week until your own people change the list.
